MindGame Research Lab is an independent NGO and interdisciplinary research center based at the Faculty of Economics and Management of Nabeul (FSEGN). Dedicated to advancing research in behavioral science, our lab combines rigorous empirical methods with practical decision-making applications. As we expand our operational footprint and scale our research activities, we are seeking a dedicated, curious, and detail-oriented Research Finance Assistant to support our fiscal administration and financial tracking.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Operations Director and Principal Investigator (PI), the Volunteer Lab Finance Assistant serves as an operational anchor for our financial health, transparency, and administrative organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Stewardship: Track monthly expenditures, reconcile lab accounts, and assist in maintaining multi-year operational and project budgets (2027–2030).
Grant & Proposal Support: Collaborate on building structured financial frameworks and budget projections for upcoming research proposals.
Reporting & Analytics: Prepare clear quarterly financial summaries for lab leadership, board members, and institutional partners.
Compliance & Governance: Align fiscal activities with national tax laws, local regulatory frameworks for non-governmental organizations, and institutional guidelines.
Operational Control: Coordinate reimbursement workflows, maintain accurate vendor logs, and ensure audit-ready financial recordkeeping.

Qualifications & Mindset

Academic Background: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (PhD’s degree is a plus).
Technical Aptitude: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial tools, paired with a strong willingness and curiosity to master NGO financial management and budgeting.
Core Competencies: High numerical precision, ethical integrity, transparency, and an enthusiasm for behavioral science research operations.
