This site publishes our research: papers, projects, articles, and course material. It is offered for information and education.

It is not professional advice. Nothing here is financial, legal, medical, or policy advice for your particular situation, and research findings are provisional by nature — they describe what we observed under the conditions we studied, not a guarantee about your case. Please take advice from a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here.

The site's design, text, charts, and code belong to MindGame Research Lab unless stated otherwise. Individual publications may carry their own licence or be governed by the terms of the journal that published them — where that's the case, the licence attached to the publication takes precedence over this page.

You are welcome to quote, teach from, and cite our work. Each publication carries a ready-made citation on its page — please use it, and link back to the original rather than reposting the full text. For anything more substantial — republication, translation, commercial use — ask us first.

Embedded videos, and any logos of partner organisations, remain the property of their owners.

In short: use the site as it was meant to be used. Please don't:

• Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it.
• Scrape or bulk-download the site, or work around the protections on our forms.
• Misrepresent our research, or present it as saying something it doesn't.
• Use the forms to send unlawful, abusive, or misleading content.
• Upload anything containing malware.

When you submit an enquiry or an application, you confirm that what you send is accurate, that it is yours to send, and that it doesn't breach anyone else's rights or confidentiality. Please don't include third-party personal or confidential information that we haven't asked for.

You keep ownership of everything you send. You give us permission to read, store, and circulate it internally for the purpose you sent it for — answering your enquiry, or assessing your application. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.

If you send us an unsolicited research idea or proposal, please be aware that we may already be working on something similar; sending it does not create an obligation or a partnership between us.

The Brain Bank saves items in your own browser, not on our servers. It is a convenience, not a backup: clearing your browser data, or switching device or browser, will lose what you saved. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.

Courses and their material are provided as they are, and may be revised, reordered, or withdrawn as the underlying research develops.

We link to journals, datasets, code repositories, partner organisations, and video platforms. Those sites are not ours; we don't control what they publish or how they handle your data, and a link isn't an endorsement. Their terms apply once you leave this site.

We aim to keep the site up and its content current, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We may change, move, or remove content, and we may suspend the site for maintenance without notice.

We may also update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

The site and its content are provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on the research published here, from any interruption to the site, or from anything on a site we link to.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
