Founder & Research Director
Dr. Malek Othman is the Founder and Research Director of MindGame Research Lab, where she leads interdisciplinary research at the intersection of behavioral economics, game theory, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence. Her research seeks to understand how individuals learn, cooperate, compete, negotiate, and adapt in strategic environments by integrating mathematical modeling, controlled behavioral experiments, and computational intelligence.
Her work combines experimental economics, game-theoretic analysis, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems to investigate bounded rationality, strategic reasoning, and adaptive decision-making. She is particularly interested in bridging human cognition and artificial intelligence by developing intelligent agents capable of modeling strategic human behavior.
As the founder of MindGame Research Lab, she is leading the development of Africa's first research laboratory dedicated to behavioral economics, game theory, and decision science, with the vision of building a globally recognized center of excellence.
