Founder & Research Director
Dr. Malek Othman is the Founder and Research Director of MindGame Research Lab, where he leads interdisciplinary research at the intersection of behavioral economics, game theory, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence. His research seeks to understand how individuals learn, cooperate, compete, negotiate, and adapt in strategic environments by integrating mathematical modeling, controlled behavioral experiments, and computational intelligence.
His work combines experimental economics, game-theoretic analysis, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems to investigate bounded rationality, strategic reasoning, and adaptive decision-making. He is particularly interested in bridging human cognition and artificial intelligence by developing intelligent agents capable of modeling strategic human behavior.
As the founder of MindGame Research Lab, he is leading the development of Africa's first research laboratory dedicated to behavioral economics, game theory, and decision science, with the vision of building a globally recognized center of excellence.
